Imagine a personalized guide that tells your friends and your family the exact next step to take on their learning journey.
No more guessing which podcast to send, no more wasted time, and no more frustrating conversations.
Just a clear, data-driven path from curiosity to conviction.
Instead, every Bitcoiner knows the feeling.
You mention Bitcoin, and a wall goes up.
You see the glazed-over eyes, hear the dismissive jokes, and you feel that sinking fear that the people you care about will never understand in time.
Bitcoin Sherpa is undertaking an ambitious open research project: to conduct 1,000 one-on-one interviews with Bitcoiners from around the world.
Our mission is to analyze every story to build the world's first data-driven, community-sourced map for Bitcoin education. This isn't just about contributing to an archive; it's about actively collaborating on the map that will help us find the best way to onboard the next wave of Bitcoiners.
As a Founding Sherpa, You Will Receive:
Exclusive Early Access to the Research: Be the first to see the data on the most effective analogies, resources, and conversation starters.
The Bitcoin Learning Map: Once complete, you will receive a copy of our comprehensive guide, filled with actionable strategies and frameworks.
Ongoing Strategy Updates: You'll be added to a private, contributor-only email list where we share new tactics and insights as the research progresses (you can opt-out anytime).
You are the expert on the most important subject: your own journey to understanding Bitcoin.
We want to map the timeline of your personal 'rabbit hole'—the moments of confusion and the moments of clarity that defined your path.
We are looking for Bitcoiners to share their journey in a 45-minute recorded interview. We'll discuss things like:
The specific book, article, or podcast that made it finally click.
The single biggest hurdle that almost made you give up.
The "aha!" moment you wish you could share with friends and family.
The first time you truly understood the importance of self-custody
Your experience is the data we need to build this map.
My own journey down the rabbit hole began with a dream.
I became a first-time father during the pandemic and found myself thinking constantly about the future I wanted for my son. One night, I dreamt he was a teenager, and he asked me a question that shook me to my core:
- Dad, you were there when Bitcoin started.
Why didn’t you do anything about it?
My excuses in the dream were weak—that it was a scam, too volatile, only for criminals. I’ll never forget the disappointment in his voice when he said - "You didn't do your homework. You could have done better".
I woke up and studied Bitcoin like a madman, immediately went down the rabbit hole and my life was never the same. My mission is simple: help people have Bitcoin Clarity, Confidence and Conviction as fast as possible.
This research project is the foundation of that mission.
Your journey contains clues. To build an effective map, we need data from a diverse set of experiences. Your unique perspective is essential to making our research robust and truly useful for everyone who comes after you.
Think of it less as a formal interview and more as a documentary of your personal journey. It’s a relaxed, 45-minute conversation about your Bitcoin story. Our goal is to metaphorically look over your shoulder, seeing what you saw as you navigated the maze of information.
At times, we'll go high-level to map the overall timeline of events. At other key moments—like your "aha!" moment or a major hurdle you overcame—we may go a bit deeper to understand the specifics. It’s a guided conversation designed to capture the key situations and resources that shaped your path. There are no right or wrong answers, only your unique experience.
Your privacy is paramount. All data collected will be anonymized to identify broader patterns and trends. No personal stories or identifying details will ever be shared publicly without your explicit permission.
